Friend of a Friend: Volunteer Transportation Program

The goal of this volunteer transportation training is to recruit and educate volunteer drivers who would be available to drive survivors to services and other appointments where they may need transportation.  The survivors who are in need of a ride will be triaged through their service provider to a Transportation Coordinator, who will then access their “on call” volunteer transporters.

This interactive training will cover the goals and responsibilities of the driver as well as possible scenarios the driver may encounter with their clients. Friend of a Friend: Sex Trafficking 101 is a prerequisite for this program.

All volunteers will also undergo a background check and must own a safe, registered, and reliable vehicle. This program typically takes 2.5 hours to complete and is facilitated by Dee Clarke, Survivor and Founder of Survivor Speak.
